EAGE Annual 2026: review of technical papers

··207 words·1 min·

📚✨ These days I had the honor of being invited to review around twenty technical papers exploring how new techniques in Machine Learning, AI, LLMs, and RAG are transforming engineering and geology.

Each of these works demonstrates something we already see day to day: technology does not replace the geoscientist, but rather amplifies their capabilities, speeds up workflows, and opens new ways to interpret and understand the subsurface. From generative models applied to geophysical data to retrieval‑augmented systems for technical knowledge, the progress is as rapid as it is exciting.

🙏 Thanks to EAGE for the trust, for valuing my technical experience, and for inviting me to collaborate in reviewing, commenting on, and suggesting improvements to these papers. It is a privilege to contribute—even if only a little—to the scientific and technological development of our industry.

We continue learning, sharing, and building the future of geoscience.

✈️ I invite you to attend the EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition in Aberdeen, UK, on 8–11 June 2026 📅.
